Martinic Palace
(Czech: Martinický palác)
The Martinic Palace at Hradčanské Square is one of the most beautiful Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th century.
The palace was built for count Martinic, as a half-sized replica of the Royal Palace at Prague Castle, he wanted a palace symbolizing his political power.
The Martinic palace exteriors are richly decorated with figural sgraffito, painted girder ceilings, wall fresco paintings and that visitors can thus imagine how the rich people lived five hundreds years ago in the Renaissance era.
Martinic Palace offers representative parts of the palace for rent, including ball rooms, lounges and chapel.
