Kampa is an island between the Vltava River and its side branch, Čertovka. According traveler's server VirtualTourist, Kampa is the second most beautiful city island in the world. 

In the middle of Kampa island stands Museum Kampa with collection of abstract art František Kupka and the works of prominent artists of the 20th century from the Eastern bloc.

In the 20th century Kampa was used by private gardeners and sports clubs. Most of the complex became the property of the City of Prague in 1918.
