Church of St. Peter was originally built in the second half of the 12th century under the reign of King Vratislaus I. as a parish church for the settlement of Poříčí.

Over the centuries the church was rebuilt a number of times. It is dedicated to the Apostle Peter.

In 1598 a Gothic bell tower was added to the church and church bells are located in this separate bell tower.
