Church of the Holy Spirit
(Czech: Kostel sv. Ducha)
Church of the Holy Spirit is the closest catholic church to the Jewish Quarter. The church was built in first half of the 14th century for a Benedictine convent.
It was severely damaged during the Hussite wars and destroyed by a fire that swept through the Old Town in 1689.
The gothic building, with a single nave, an elongated presbytery and a parallelepiped tower at the north side, was later modified in Baroque style.
